WINDOWS 10 H2 SHOULD ONLY PROVIDE A BACKGROUND OF NEWS
As ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley explains, the Windows 10 update scheduled for the end of the year shouldn’t offer any major innovation. Currently responding to the codename “20H2” or “Mn”, the next version of Windows 10 will be considered a “minor” update, just like version 1909 of the later released operating system. last year. Let us recall in passing that despite the simple nature of this version, its publication was delayed for a few weeks … This did not prevent it from having some problems at launch, regarding File Explorer among other things.
However, some new features should appear in this edition. File Explorer (again!) should undergo a minor change, while the old Control Panel should gradually disappear in favor of the Settings module. This doesn’t mean it will disappear completely, but simply Microsoft will integrate each of its features under Settings (a change the company has been making in small steps for at least two years).
So don’t expect important new updates with Windows 10 20H2. At the moment, we are still waiting for the 20H1 version of Windows 10. It is supposed to be released at the end of the month. However, it can be enjoyed in preview via the Windows Insider Program, as Microsoft has already released a stable version of the operating system via the Release Preview channel.
