WiFi Monitor Pro is a powerful tool that allows you to analyze the status of WiFi networks and monitor its parameters (signal strength, frequency, connection speed, etc.). It is useful for setting up a wireless router and monitoring WiFi usage. It can also be used as a scanner to detect devices connected to WLAN.
The “Connection” tab helps to track information about the connected WiFi hotspot:
– name (SSID) and identification (BSSID)
– router manufacturer
– connection speed
– router signal strength
– frequency and channel number
– latency info (ping)
– hotspot security options
– MAC address and IP address of smartphone
– subnet mask, default gateway and DNS address.
The “Networks” tab allows you to analyze all available WiFi networks by the following parameters: type, equipment manufacturer, signal level, security protocol. Access points with the same name (SSID) are grouped together.
The “Channels” tab displays the signal level of hotspots depending on the frequencies. Routers that use the same frequencies will provide poor quality Wi-Fi.
“Strength” graph helps to compare received power levels from available WiFi hotspots and monitor their dynamics. The higher the signal strength of the router, the better the quality of the wireless connection.
“Speed” graph shows the actual amount of data sent and received in the connected network. This will help to analyze hotspot usage.
The “Scan” section performs the search for devices in the connected network and displays their parameters. If the scanner detects strange devices in your WLAN, block them in the router settings.
