Sometimes you want to copy text from app or image and can’t use default long press on Android?

Universal Copy eliminates that pain!

In any application, activate the Universal Copy mode and select the text you want to copy, that’s it!

Copy text from any app: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Tumblr, News Republic, Snapchat…

With Scanner mode you can even copy text (Latin characters only) from images, documents or any application where the developer has blocked normal mode (facebook lite…).

Easy. Simple. Super fast.

Universal Copy lets you copy text without needing to use the long press action.

How to use?

1. download and install the app
2. activate the Universal Copy accessibility service (Settings > Accessibility)
3. go to the application (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or any other application) from which you want to copy text
4. open your notification drawer and click “Enable Universal Copy Mode”
5. the text boxes that you can copy appear in light blue.
6. tap the text you want to copy, it will be highlighted in blue
7. Click Copy and voila!
If no text is detected during phase 5, you can switch from normal mode to scanner mode. Scanner mode allows you to copy text from applications where normal mode does not work (thanks to character recognition technology – OCR).

Can’t find Universal Copy in the notification area? Is accessibility turned off?
Check out this tutorial and see if it helps:

How to Fix Android Accessibility Settings That Turn off Automatically

On Samsung Galaxy devices (SG 5 and later), check if you have enabled App Battery Optimizer in the Samsung Smart Manager app. Please disable it as it is known to disable Universal Copy Accessibility Service: Go to Android Settings > General > Battery > look under App Optimization and select Details. Then find Universal Copy and disable it.

On Xiaomi devices, you can also try to allow “Autostart” function for Universal Copy.
Go to Settings / Security / Permissions / Autostart your device and allow Universal Copy.

Feel free to rate the app and write a review if you like Universal Copy.
