Sun Locator predicts the position and path of the sun and moon at a specific location over the course of a day.
Anticipate lighting conditions in photography/filming, real estate, architecture, outdoor activities (e.g. setting up camp), solar panel placement, gardening and more.
★ The main view shows all the detailed information: sunrise/sunset, moonrise/moonset, blue hour, golden hour, solar noon, twilight times, moon phase and many more
★ The camera view shows the position of the sun and moon directly on your device’s camera. Use the slider to set the time of day and instantly track the sun’s movement. [A magnetometer (compass) device is required to use the AR function]
★ The map feature shows the solar and moon location, direction and shadow on a map to help you plan your activities.
*Photography: when and where will the sun rise and set? When are the blue hour and the golden hour? When and where will the moon shine tonight?
*Gardening: Do your plants get enough direct sunlight during the day and year?
*Real estate: does a neighboring building block the sun and provide shade?
* Architecture: How Much Sunshine Does Your Home Get? Is the sun shining through your window?
*Camping: does the sun shine on your tent?
* Hiking: when does dawn start and dusk ends?
*Solar panels: are there any obstacles nearby?
