iOS 14 introduces camera and microphone recording indicators: With iOS 14, Apple adds a camera and microphone recording indicator to the status bar. Above the signal bar, it will appear as an orange dot. The purpose of a recording indication is to notify users when the microphone or camera is in use. Users will have more control over their data and privacy with this feature.
However, such privacy option does not exist in Android. Any app, it seems, can use your camera and microphone without special permission (once you grant permission). This could allow malware to run a service in the background and visually track everything you do, posing a risk to your privacy. With the increased use of online platforms for audio and video conferencing, it is essential to know which application is accessing your camera or microphone in real time.

Why does the Privacy Guard app require Accessibility Service?
Accessibility Service is required on Android in order to display an overlay (alerts). Although it may appear that we have access to your screen or are monitoring your behavior, rest assured that we only use it to identify and display notifications.
