Picture Manager uses EXIF metadata to rename and organize your photos.
What Picture Manager can do for you:
Rename:
Rename your images with different timestamp formats and other EXIF metadata like camera model, manufacturer and many more.
The additional options are:
• Replace text in file name
• Add or add text at the beginning
•Add a counter to your file names
• Towards upper or lower case
• Rename and delete manually (Premium)
Organization:
Improve the organization of your image collection by sorting your images into dated folders or even naming them after the location where you took your photos.
For example. If you were on vacation and made a round trip, you no longer need to remember the city where you took the photos. Picture Manager will do this work for you by sorting the images
in folders named by the location where the photos were taken.
The organizer also offers a feature to move your pictures to your external SD card or even USB storage.
In the premium version, this can be done even automatically.
A useful use case is also moving videos to another location to prevent Google or Amazon Photos from syncing them to the cloud.
Clean up your image collection
Picture Manager offers duplicate picture finder to get rid of duplicate pictures and restore space on your phone memory
There is also an option to find similar images based on the PHash and AverageHash algorithms.
EXIF editor
Edit exif metadata directly in Picture Manager, whether individual images or in batch mode.
Use conditions to modify only the EXIF attributes that correspond to them.
Some special features:
• Set the date on several images and increase the time with hour / minute / second
• Define the delta date and time on several images (to correct the wrong time zone for example)
Other gems:
• Correction of the modification date of the file
When you copy files from external media it breaks the modified date of your original file and may mess up your timeline in your gallery, file explorers, etc. Picture Manager can restore the timeline by restoring the modified date of the file with the capture date of the EXIF metadata. (Premium)
• Analyze dates from file names
Pictures received by Whatsapp or other messengers had their EXIF metadata deleted. Restore date using date from filename and save it under exif date attribute and modified date (Premium)
•Optimize images to reduce file size by changing dimensions and quality. It makes sense after saving your original pictures to the cloud or external storage, but you want to keep the picture on your phone while saving storage space.
• Add GPS data from GPX file.
If your camera does not have a GPS module, you can save your GPS coordinates with a third party application in a gpx file. Picture Manager can then match your pictures’ timestamps and locations in the gpx file and write GPS data to your pictures.
• Add missing EXIF thumbnails.
The thumbnail is used to preview images on your camera’s LCD screen or in file browsers. It is saved in the EXIF metadata and helps cameras and file scans quickly preview the image, otherwise you would have to read the entire image in memory first.
