Media Bar (beta) doubles as your system status bar as a media playback controller and progress indicator!
Whether you’re listening to a podcast/music while browsing/gaming/multitasking or watching videos, now you can not only see the media progress through a slim bar at the top/bottom of the status bar, you can also scroll through media by swiping left/right on the status bar.
You can now quickly jump to a specific segment or step forward/backward in your song/podcast/video. Are you watching a long film/podcast? The media bar can be color coded to indicate playback progress. Example: – Media bar green up to 75% of the podcast and turns red up to 100%.
The media bar also has 3 invisible buttons that can be assigned to perform specific actions with a single tap, double tap and long press. The touch regions of the buttons can also be customized.
Actions/playback controls available for the Media Bar:

✓ Skip back “X” seconds
✓ Jump forward by “X” seconds

Media Bar features:
✓ The 3 invisible button regions can be adjusted.
✓ The media bar can be configured to be as thin as 1 pixel.
✓ The media bar can be positioned above or below the status bar.
✓ The background of the media bar can be opaque or transparent.
✓ Media bar origin can be configured to left/center/right.
✓ Media bar can auto-hide in full screen apps.
✓ Media Bar can be color coded with various color configurations available.
Media Bar Color Code:
✓ Solid – the media bar will always be displayed in a single (any) color of your choice.
✓ Dynamic: The media bar can change colors based on the app playing the media or based on the album art of the media.
✓ Segments: The entire media bar will change to a specific color based on the progress of the media.
✓ Merged Segment: The media bar will show all the color segments you assigned as you progress.
✓ Gradient Segment: The entire media bar will gracefully change color as it transitions from one segment of the media being played to another.
✓ Gradient: The media bar will display a gradient of color as it progresses through the media.
Startup instructions:
* Click the switch in the upper right to access Accessibility Settings, find and activate the media bar (you may have to look for it under “Downloaded services”)
* Enabling the accessibility service should open the “Notification access” settings and allow access to the media bar. In case the “Access to notifications” settings do not open automatically on your phone, look for them in the System Settings.
* Both the accessibility service and access to notifications must be on all the time for Media Bar to work.
Accessibility Service Requirements:
Android requires Energy Bar to function as an accessibility service, in order to be displayed on the lock screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially helpful for people who have difficulty reading numbers and work better with visual data.
