Callbreak Multiplayer brings the classic and popular card game with the online multiplayer feature to the Google Play Store.
Rules of the game
Callbreak is a card game played with a standard 52-card deck between four players. There are 5 rounds in a game. The seating direction of the players and the first dealer are selected before the start of the first round. To randomize the sitting direction of the player and the first dealer, each player draws a card from the deck and, based on the order of the cards, their indications and the first dealer are fixed. Dealers are subsequently changed counterclockwise in subsequent rounds.
Deal
In each round, a dealer starting from their right distributes all the cards counterclockwise to all players without revealing any cards, making 13 cards for each player.
To bid
All four players, starting with the player to the dealer’s right, bid a number of tricks they must win in that round to get a positive score, otherwise they’ll get a negative score.
To play
In Callbreak, the spades are the winning cards.
In each trick, the player must follow the same suit; if unable, the player must play a trump card if eligible to win; if unable, the player may play any card of his choice.
The player must always try to win the trick, in other words he must play as high cards as possible.
The first trick in a round is conducted by the player to the right of the dealer with any card of any suit. Each player, in turn, plays counterclockwise. A trick containing a spade is won by the highest spade played; if no spades are played, the trick is won by the highest card of the same suit. The winner of each trick leads to the next trick.
Score
The player who takes at least as many tricks as his offer receives a score equal to his offer. Additional tricks (Over Tricks) are worth 0.1 times one point more each. In case of impossibility to obtain the indicated offer, the score will be deducted equal to the declared offer. After 4 rounds have been completed, the scores are added together to help players set a goal for their final round. After the final round, the winner and runners-up of the game are declared.
