Audio Cues is designed for live performance. With just an Android phone or tablet or a Chromebook that supports Google Play, you can create and run simple audio projects for theatre, dance and other live entertainment. Backing tracks for musicians, sound effects for magicians: everything is possible with this simple app.
In-App Purchase: Unlimited shows and cues
µAudio Cues allows up to 2 shows on each device and up to 10 cues per show without any payment or registration. An in-app purchase adds support for unlimited shows and signals. In-app purchases are linked to Google Accounts rather than individual devices, so the Unlimited Shows and Cues pack will be recognized wherever you download the app with your account.
New features, January 2023
The new “Pause/Play” cue type can target a single audio cue or all running cues. The cue acts as a toggle switch, pausing or playing the targeted cues depending on whether or not they are playing.
The new “Stop” cue type can also route a single audio cue or all running cues. Does the same thing as a fade with a duration of 0, immediately cutting off the targeted audio cues.
Characteristics
Audio Cues supports five types of cues:
• Audio signals work with all standard audio file formats, including WAV, OGG and others.
• Fade signals can change the volume and pan of a focused audio signal from one channel to another.
• Interrupt Signals immediately interrupts targeted audio signals.
• Pause/play cues act as a toggle, pausing or playing the targeted audio cues depending on whether they are currently playing.
• Go to Cue allows you to jump to another cue and optionally play it right away.
Other features include:
• Integration with Google Drive and other file sharing services to transfer audio files to your Android device
• Support for Bluetooth keyboards and remotes to trigger cues during performances
• Back up and restore shows in ZIP files
Keyboard shortcuts:
• Cursor keys up and down to scroll the cue list
• Spacebar to activate the Go button
• Esc to stop all running cues
• Configurable keyboard shortcuts for navigation and execution cues
Importing audio files
Import audio files from:
• File sharing services such as Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive
• An SD card or USB stick
• The internal memory of the device
We recommend Audacity, a free desktop application, for creating audio files.
