VAG DPF shows you the most important information about the DPF particle filter and its regeneration phases using an ELM327 Bluetooth / WIFI adapter. With this app you can know if the regeneration process is in progress, if a regeneration is waiting to be completed, how many km have you traveled since the last regeneration, etc. This app doesn’t use standard OBD2 commands like most other apps, it uses CANBUS commands and that’s why it needs a decent ELM327 adapter to work (see note below).
IMPORTANT!! Before purchasing the full app, I suggest you try the “VAG DPF Free” app to verify that your adapter, Android device, and motor are working properly with the app.

IMPORTANT some of the above motors may be incompatible, it depends on the motor software version, so use the VAG DPF FREE APP to check your motor before purchasing !!!!

– OBDLink LX: recommended, expensive but fast and reliable (I used it for app development)
– Carista: recommended, affordable but very reliable (I use it for debugging and daily scans)
– Vgate iCar 2 Bluetooth: recommended, like Carista
– Konnwei kw 903: recommended, like Carista
– Adapter cloned in China: not recommended, unreliable, you may come across decent adapters or fake adapters with unpredictable results
