Usage stages:

1. Use the app browser to navigate to a website.
2. The browser will try to find any playable video, movie or music on that site.
3. Then play it locally on your phone/tablet or cast it to your TV with Chromecast or one of the compatible streaming receivers.

Supported Formats:

MP4 movies
MKV files
MP3 music and podcasts
JPG, PNG images

Features and limitations of some streaming receivers
Screen cloning:
– Screen mirroring feature is only available on newer Android devices.

Roku streaming devices and TVs:
– Screen Mirroring can be enabled in settings
– Remote controller
– no video shooting/scrubbing, no audio streaming, some file formats not supported.

Apple TV AirPlay:
– AirPlay must be enabled in settings
– Battery optimization must be disabled for Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above, local audio and photo casting not supported. MKV files not supported. Some URL formats are not supported.

Xbox One and Xbox 360:
– DLNA must be enabled in the settings

Fire TV: Some video movie formats are not supported.

The following streaming devices and Smart TVs are also supported: DLNA devices, Android TV, Xbox One and Xbox 360, WebOS, Netcast

Some Smart TVs have the built-in Google Chromecast (or DLNA) app:
according to this: https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/tv/
If you have one of these models, check if it has one of the streaming receivers to see if it is compatible with casting to TV.

Castify does not modify video sources. Only send the original source to your streaming receivers. The app does not host any content. Therefore the compatibility and availability of the videos depends on the source websites themselves.

-This app only broadcasts from websites that use the public format. Proprietary video and movie formats will not stream to your TV.

-If a video does not play or a disconnection occurs, there could be several reasons:
1. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
2. The source website itself
3. Insufficient WIFI signal strength

Troubleshooting:
-Make sure your WIFI connection is stable and on the same network. Streaming online movies to your TV requires a good internet connection.
-Most connection problems can be resolved by restarting the broadcast receivers or phone.
-Flash movie websites are not supported by streaming device manufacturers.
